In March, the Atchison library, in conjunction with the Kansas Humanities Council, will hold a series of book discussions entitled Talk About Literature in Kansas: Before the Civil War. T.A.L.K. is a program for anyone who loves to read and discuss good books. We will hold three sessions, each featuring a different book and author. The sessions will be moderated by college and university experts and include: March 2nd, Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, March 16th, John Brown: The Legend Revisited by Merrill D. Peterson and March 30th, The All-True Travels and Adventures of Lidie Newton by Jane Smiley. These books are available for check out.
