AN UPDATE ON THE RESTORATION OF THE WEBSITE: The Cemetery files have been restored to the Kansas Room page. It is going to take some time to get everything back up and running, so please be patient while we work through the problems.

If our website looks a little strange, it’s because it got hacked earlier this week by an internet “vandal”. Whoever it was managed to get into the server that hosts many of the libraries in Kansas. Like other acts of vandalism, the one responsible was long gone before anyone noticed, leaving nothing but a mess behind. Thanks to a lot of hard work by the server administrator, the site is back up – but things are still a bit messy.
Happy New Year, and thanks so much for your support of the Library!

On Monday, December 14th at 6:30 p.m. Atchison Children’s Library will feature the Parasol Puppets as they add a Holiday twist to a classic tale with their festive hand puppet show “The Gingerbread Man’s Christmas.” When Mrs. Claus bakes a special cookie for Santa, the Gingerbread Man decides that he doesn’t want to get eaten! He hops off of the cookie sheet and begins his sing-a-long adventure. Join the puppets in singing “Deck the Halls”, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, and many more enjoyable Christmas tune. What a great way to get in the Holiday mood!
