    The Solution to the Diet Revolution by Georgia Kostas will be the featured book in a 4-part “Book Talk” lead by Diane Nielson, Atchison County Extension Agent, Family & Consumer Sciences.  The “talk” continues this Friday, February 4th at 12:10 p.m. The theme of the book is the Cooper Clinic’s step by step approach to your health and well-being for life. Bring a brown bag lunch and prepare to paraticipate in and enjoy this enlightening discussion. A limited number of books will be available for check out or you may order a personal copy for the discounted price of $25.00.  Call either the County Extension Office, 913-833-5450, or the Library, 913-367-1902, for details or to sign up.

Hey kids:  Join us on Monday, January 24th from 4:30 to 5:30 to celebrate Kansas’ 150th Birthday.  We’ll be grinding wheat into flour (just like the first settlers did) and tossing “cow patties” (oh my!)  There will be special crafts and treats, too.  Don’t miss all the fun.
