Dear Sue --
Thanks for visiting our website and for your questions.

The only reason Cummings Cemetery has photos of headstones is simply because someone took the time to take the pictures and record the information. The photos were then given to the Atchison County Kansas Genealogical Society. That organization digitalized the information and ask it be included on APL's Kansas Room page.

To copy a picture try this: open the file and left click on the photo you want to copy (it should turn blue.) Right click and copy or use the "Ctrl-C" key combination. The photo can be pasted into a Microsoft Word document or you can use the "Paint" graphics editing program in Windows (start menu, accessories, "Paint".) I hope this helps.

The only feature on the website you need your library card for is open your NExpress account to renew materials or place materials on hold. Otherwise, all other features and pages are open access.

I hope this information answered your questions.

Why is Cummings Cemetery the only one on here with photo's of headstones? Why can't I seem to get copy a headstone photo? It tells me to hit Control C, but, it still won't let me copy. Do I have to have a library card to use this website? Thanks.
Regards,
Sue

The cemetery lists are most appreciated.

Does Mt. Vernon Cemetery have an office/ contact with an e-mail? I am not sure if it is city-run.

Hi, I'm just checking out the "New Look" on the website and wondered where this comment is going to???

Could the ACKGS web page be included in the item about the society? It is www.ACKGS.org.
