BOOKWORM BUDDIES:

What is it?  Well, it’s a great way to encourage kids to read and to visit the library.  Kids can sign up any time for their very own Frequent Reader Card.  Then, every time they visit the library and check out a book, the librarian will punch their card.  After 12 visits they will receive A FREE BOOK!!  Plus (of course, there is always a +) the month of  their birthday, they’ll receive a BIRTHDAY POSTCARD TO BRING IN FOR A BIRTHDAY PRESENT (a free book.)  Don’t wait any longer, sign up today.

 

 

Here’s a fun activity for any day: Click here to create your own animated show.  This website gives you all the tools you need to make a fun and funny cartoon.  Have Mom or Dad help if you have problems.  

 

Do you enjoy putting together jig-saw puzzles?  We found a really neat website just for that.  It provides a large variety of puzzles from easy to difficult.  There are also many different types of subjects to choose from. 

 

  

  

Click here for an online “Etch-a-sketch” drawing game and “GET CREATIVE.”  Get Dad or Mom to explain how to use the game if you are having troubles.  

 

Themed story times are offered every Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. and include not just stories but a variety of activities such as fingerplays, songs and crafts. Adults are encouraged to participate with their child/ren.
