All goods go to help families in the Atchison Area.
You may also donate clothing or toys but these items will not reduce your fines.
Story Time is Back!
Story Times will once again be back beginning Monday, November 7th, at 10:30 a.m.
Join Holly, our new Youth Services Librarian, every Monday or Thursday for stories, crafts and other fun things to do.
Next week’s story times will feature stories centered around the Fall season.
Friends of Atchison Library Annual Meeting
Join us at the Library on Sunday, September 25th from 2 – 4 p.m. for our Annual Meeting. After a brief business meeting and election of officers, a panel will discuss one-room schoolhouses. Following the panel discussion, the film “One-Room Schoolhouse” will be shown. The documentary features several Atchison County teachers including Vera Hurst, the Atchison County expert on the subject.
Friends of the Atchison Library (FoAL) is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to:
- Build support in the community for the Atchison Library.
- Enhance the image, materials, services and facilities of the Atchison
Library by undertaking specific projects on its behalf. - Maintain an association of individual, civic organizations, businesses, and
other groups interested in the Atchison library. - Create public awareness of the activities of the Friends of the Atchison
Library and encourage participation in the organization.
Teen Library Council Meeting
Do you have a great idea for bringing more teens to the library? Want to organize events, classes, and parties for the young adult readers of Atchison? Stop by the library this Wednesday at 4:30 to discuss upcoming programming for the school year! Past events have included a Teen Game Day featuring Guitar Hero, MarioKart Wii, boardgames, and pizza. New TLC recruits are always welcome, please drop by and become a part of a great teen group that can make a big impact at the Atchison Public Library!
