Taming Your Mouse – Tuesday, March 16th – 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Learn the proper way to hold and maneuver the mouse. All the other classes will be much easier if you feel comfortable using a mouse. We will cover single/double clicking, right button, scroll bars, selecting text, dragging and dropping.
Beginning Windows – Tuesday, March 30th – 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Open the Windows to your computer. This class offers an introduction to the keyboard, mouse, desktop, icons, start button and task bar. Learn to identify parts of a window and to minimize/resize windows, as well as, how to create new folders and copy and paste. Basic keyboarding and mouse skills are needed for this class.
Internet: Atchison and Beyond – Tuesday, April 13th – 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Using Microsoft Internet Explorer, those participating will do basic searches on the Internet. Instruction and information on using Web address, subject directories and search engines will also be included. Basic computer, mouse and keyboarding skills are required for this class.
E-Mail using MSN Hotmail
Using MSN Hotmail, learn to address, compose, receive, reply and forward messages. Hotmail is a free e-mail service that is available from the Library computers or any computer with internet access. Basic computer, mouse and keyboarding skills are required for this class.
